my hubby...

Introduction: Readers, I would like you to meet my Husband.
Dear, these are the readers...the one's I have told you about.  You know, the people you are not sure exist and I swear to you they are the best friends a girl could have...ahhh, good...now that you remember, we can move on!

Readers, the Husband is on a 1 & 1/2 day mini-vacation.  He had a job in the middle of a small town, and then decided to sleep at my mom's, so...he and my dad could go fishing on Tuesday!  I am a little sad, because, Readers...I LoVe my Husband!  He is funny, well...actually hysterical.  There are times I worry, drink will come out of my nose (first hand experience, enough said)!
He is EXTREMELY HANDSOME(look at the picture...see what I mean)!
He loves me...for me and if you know me...you know that is a feat all to its own!
He is a hard worker, and has a tough job...although, I am trying to figure out a way for him to be Mr. Mom.  Too bad, we are not UBER WEALTHY...then it would be easy.  My Husband is the best listener, I don't always give him credit for listening, but he does...alot.  He is a great communicator...and is willing to help me not lose my cool...considering my cool stays in my pocket, you know the one with the hole in it! He is my best friend...he knows all my secrets, and keeps them tucked away safe. He is the World's Greatest Dad and has a shirt to PROVE it!  He loves James and Maggie...I have never seen someone have more fun playing chase than they do...he hides and jumps out to scare them...they just giggle and run the other way.  If he jumped out at me, I would scream/cry and then probably have an accident...I am way to jumpy to play this game. He is a hero...everyday, he does something to help someone else...he gives of himself to better others! He likes to hold hands. He loves to be close to me and I like it! He walks/runs with me (at my slow pace), because I asked. He thinks I am beautiful...and that I surpass all others...I am so blessed! He is a family man. He loves football...I do too...but I love it a lot more because of him!  He makes ordinary days...extraordinary! He is everything I ever wanted and a million things more...
Above all else, Readers...my husband is a Godly man and for that I will be forever thankful!

Thank you Husband...for everything...and happy EARLY 7th Anniversary!!!
MUCH LOVE TO YOU!!!

Up Close and Personal...

and soon to be a SALAD!!!

The garden is officially planted...now, we just hope it grows!!! We have two 4'x8' raised planters and two pails both with ingredients for salad (minus the lettuce). I have grown tomatoes and yellow bell peppers since my college days; using my trusty hand-decorated garden pails.  This was a BH&G project from 1999...works perfectly!  This year I have planted cherry tomatoes in my pail...yummy in the tummy!

If you want to make your own garden pails, here are the constructions: Purchase a 3 gallon Galvanized bucket (local hardware store).Decorate the outside with a Smiley-face using paint (paint-PENS...much easier) and the vegetable as the nose. Punch holes in the bottom (just a few to allow for drainage) and line (the bottom) with rocks (to assist with drainage).  Fill with dirt and plant your veggie!  Don't forget to Water!
This is just one of our planters...here we have Straight-Necked Yellow Squash and Cucumbers in the other we have two different types of Tomatoes and Green Bell Peppers!  Can you tell I love Tomatoes!! I hope everything grows well this year...last year, I was a bit zealous and over planted. Very few things grew...I really just hope it is not my 'brown" thumb shining through...
Hope you have a Happy Growing Season!!!
