And the Winner is...Maggie!

James and Maggie went to see Dr. McCown for their 6 month checkup on Tuesday. Maggie officially out weighs James by 1/2 ounce.

Maggie weighs 17lbs and 6oz 26 1/2 inches long

James weighs 17lbs and 5.5oz 27 inches long

They are both in excellent health and Dr. McCown just raves at how well they are developing. They did awesome getting their shots..again Mama did not do so well, but I am at least trying.

We go back to the Dr in 3 months for a check up...and NO MORE SHOTS until they are 1 yr old. YYEEEAAAHHH!!!!!

Here are a couple of pics we took of James and Maggie bonding after the Dr.'s appt.

James is my little man and Maggie is my beautiful baby, and they won my heart a long time ago. However, there are days like today that reminds me of why I love them so much...they are just SUPER CUTE!!! Tonight, he decided to make raspberry nosies...I just love all of the slobber; and she decided to play Peek-a-boo with herself...got to love that smile!

License and Registration...Please!

James loves his walker (thanks Nanny and Paw Paw)...and thus far he knows two speeds: "still" and "look out here I come"!

We are 1/2 a year! (6 months old)

James and Maggie are officially 6 months old...it is so amazing to think they were so small and now...well, they are not so small! They are such a blessing and we Praise God for everyday they are apart of our lives.

This morning Lucy decided to give James kisses...I think James is still wondering what she had for breakfast??? Maggie is fascinated by Franklin and Lucy...she is in great awe over them...everything stops when they come into the room.

Tonight, we had carrots for dinner...this would have been much easier had we decided to eat from the spoon; James wanted to help the spoon by using his hand to rake the carrots into his mouth and Maggie got so excited about a bite she would lean forward and get it on her face before I could get the spoon to her mouth. This is why baths are a must...

We tried to get a good 6 Month picture, but either one was looking off or one was not smiling...it is sometimes difficult to get two kids to sit up, look at the camera, smile, not fall out of the chair, prevent dogs from being in the picture, and hold a camera still, in order to hold the button down, long enough for the camera to auto focus and take the picture. Aren't digital cameras great!?!?

We go back to the Doctor next week for our 6 month check up and SHOTS (yuck)...so I will post heights and weights then...and hopefully provide a preview of what new foods we get to try!

Here is a flashback picture...they were 1 day old.

This morning we were awakened not by cries or screams...but an adorable attempt at singing!

We've Captured More Hearts than Cupid!!

This was the 1st Valentine's Day for James and Maggie...what fun! Their Nanny and Paw Paw came up from Camden for the day to bring them Valentine's. Mama Kay and Papa Ed came up in the evening, so Mama and Dada could go out to dinner. It can be said this was a wonderful day had by all!!!
Happy Valentine's Day...much love from James and Maggie.

Not real sure about their Elephant Valentine toys, but I am sure the slobber bath (oops...KISSES) will begin soon.

James is beginning to think Valentine's is just Mushy Love Stuff...

Maggie is just trying to give you a hug James...now please hold still!

T-I-M-B-E-R!!!!

James and Maggie are attempting to sit unassisted...while this is a great thing, I only wish I could swaddle them in bubble wrap! As you can see James is good at balancing as long as he is still,

but once he moves...T-I-M-B-E-R!

I finally got one too!

It is official...Maggie has a tooth! Finally, after James got two teeth before the turn of the new year, Maggie has a tooth pop through on the first day of February. She has been like a faucet for the past several months, we knew it was coming. Now, the question remains...when will the second one arrive?
