This weekend we took off on an adventure to the "River".
We went to our Nanny & PawPaw's house on Friday to spend the night
before embarking on a relaxing boat ride in the river on Saturday.
We began Saturday morning with a full breakfast of Eggs, Bacon and Biscuits-
can I get a "Yum-O"!!!
Then it was off to the Welcome Center to see the largest alligator in the state;
for the record-he was dead and stuffed!
To begin, we posed in front of what appears to be the largest fishing lure in the state...
wonder what kind of fish that will attract.
(I see two guppies are attracted to it right now...)
This alligator was rather impressive...I did get close to it, but NOT FOR LONG!
James was all about this gator's mouth....PRAISE GOD, it is stuffed!
After the gator, we went to Hoggly Woggly to get chips, grapes and juice boxes for our picnic lunch on the river.
Maggie is all smiles while aboard the Pontoon Boat!!!
She was great comic relief...trying out new funny faces.
James was super excited too, and all he wanted to do was ask "can I drive, now"??
Nanny was looking for a relaxing time...with no thoughts of anything else.
With never being on a boat before, Maggie and James were fascinated by everything!!
Including the fact: you wave to everyone who passes by!!!
This one did not take long for her to master!!
James asking for the one millionth time..."can I drive now"?
Finally, it worked and James turns out to be a great driver!!!
James informed us of many of life's nuances...he was the life of the trip!!
Maggie wanted to make silly faces...
by all means please do so!!!
We had an absolutely amazing time on the river...
and I have the strangest notion that we will be doing this AGAIN!!
