Thanks-giving...

I love Thanksgiving...in my family this is definitely a holiday to be celebrated, but who doesn't like a day to celebrate food all that we are thankful. Here is my list...

  • God-our Creator
  • Jesus- My Lord and Saviour
  • Keith- my wonderful Husband and BFF
  • James & Maggie- the absolute loves of my life
  • Family- those that are with us and those that are away
  • Home- a place of warmth and happiness
  • Friends- new and old, there is always room for one more
  • Traditions- old and new...they all are Great!
  • Frank & Lucy- the best dogs ever
  • Food- something most of us take for granted, while others will go hungry
  • Example- may we all set one for the betterment of those that look up to us

may you gobble til you wobble; be thankful for what you have and share any abundance with those less fortunate.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

While Mama's away...

The 15 month old babies will play. It's been an interesting couple of days since Jamie took off to Ohio. This is the first time she and the kiddos (as she likes to call them) have been apart for more than a few hours. And as fate would have it, Nanny, Paw-Paw and myself have had a few curve balls thrown our way but we are still in the ballgame. Even though the kids can't say "I miss Mama", I know that they do. As I said, Nanny and Paw-Paw are here to help so it's not completely "John Wayne Time", but Mama's can just do things that Daddys, Nannys, and Paw-Paws cannot do no matter how hard they try. I do think we are doing pretty good all things considered up until this point. I have made it through two bath times playing the challenging bath giver position (I usually am the go-for, diaper pail changer, humidifier water filler, and referee) and I have yet to loose a kid nor flood the bathroom (although I'm pretty soaked by the time it's over). Nanny and Paw-Paw have had a few challenges as well, as nap time has gone by the wayside the past few days, but they are hanging in. With the adult to kid ratio at 3-2, we are able to play zone defense, but not having Mama is like Bama not having its best defensive player on the field.
Despite work being crazy and everything else, I was able to snap a few pics of the kids for their 15 month birthday. It's hard to believe I have been a dad for that long and I still have hair and it's still the same color. But enough about me... Onto the pics!!!

It's been a while...

It's been a while since the last post...but pictures of snotty noses, fussy kiddos, and a dirty playroom are not what I want to see. So, instead I am posting a picture of my kiddos when they were just THREE months old: no snot, no fuss, no mess!

New Adventures with Old Toys...

James and Maggie received walkers for CHRISTmas (2008) and they loved them. They would walk up and down the hall and laugh the whole way. Well, since they have been walking on their own, we have since moved the walkers to the basement. We have removed the seats and flipped them into push behind "cars". James and Maggie love being outside and pushing the walkers all over the driveway.

James exploring the leaves...

Aw mama, you did not give me a chance to smile...

Hold still Maggie, I have to check the oil and tire pressure...

When it won't crank, you just push it...

I can move this clunker all by myself...Dada needs to check the batteries!
