We are 1 month old...

James and Maggie are officially 1 month old. They have changed so much since their birth. We love them more and more each and every day; we could not be more blessed.

James is letting me know that he is hungry and the 1 month picture is really not that important... maybe he will get better about pictures as he gets older.

On a Roll...

Well, we all knew this day would come but who knew it would be this early. Maggie and James are both rolling over from their tummy's to their backs. Maggie is definitely proud, because she practices every chance she gets; James is just happy knowing he did it...no need to practice.

Here is Maggie showing off...

A Million Thanks...

Words cannot express how thankful we are to those who have come to help with James and Maggie. We have been so blessed...from meals, extra hands, and even helpful advice. James is spending time with Aunt Babs...

The women of my Bible Study have gone above and beyond to help Keith and I. James and Maggie are so lucky to have so many wonderful "aunts" as a part of their lives. Aunt Sherry arrived in the nick of time, to help with a hungry "barracuda"...

Again, Keith and I cannot thank everyone enough for all they have done to help us during this new phase of our lives.

Our New Friend...Davis

James and Maggie took their first trip on Friday, September 12th to see their new friend Davis in Tuscaloosa. Davis is the new son to our friends Cameron and Jaime. Here is a picture of their first meeting. The kids were so excited to see each other as you can tell from the picture.

James and Maggie are growing like weeds...James weighs over 8 lbs and Maggie weighs 7lbs and 10ozs.

Keith is back at work and trying to manage working and being a dad...recently Keith mistook Lucy for a pillow. Lucy, however, did not care, she only wanted some attention.

Nap Time with Daddy...

I am not sure who is winning at times...Babies score one against the Parents, and then the Parents rally back to tie the game. When the dust settles, we are all a bit tired and ready for Nap Time. From this picture, Daddy and James have Nap time under wraps. I just wish Mommy and Maggie were so lucky.

The days are good and the nights are getting better...the past few nights we have been sleeping in 4 hour blocks...which is awesome! We are still trying to figure it all out, but anytime you get sleep and are not staying up all night you know your on the upward climb.

James and Maggie went back to the Dr. on September 2nd. They have both gained weight; James weighs 7lbs 5ozs (3oz above birth weight) and Maggie weighs 6lbs 13ozs (1oz below birth weight). However, Maggie is 1/4" longer than her brother...James 21" and Maggie 21 1/4". Growing comes to them naturally.

Our First Test...Pass or Fail??

Well, we come to you after surviving our first night of parenthood...ALONE. We have officially taken care of James and Maggie all by ourselves. Nanny and Paw Paw have left the building and we are here as the lone parents...SCARY! Not really, it was suprisingly a good night. We managed the day very well; we were able to keep up with both kids, changed and fed them at the right times and overall had a pretty successful night.

We all had dinner together; they sat in their bouncey seats on the bar and we ate dinner...it was like a "stare down" at the O.K. Corrale. Except for James went to sleep...but that is to be expected.

We are trying to maintain a positive attitude over the next few days, trying to get a plan together before Keith goes back to work...but with all of the family and freinds we have, I should never be alone (out numbered) for very long.
