To prevent major pool maintenance, we try to keep the leaves in the back yard managed.

This day proved to be especially nice weather, so...let's move so leaves. James was thrilled...very unlike him, since he is not fond of loud noises. He was adamant in helping his dada...and MUCH to our surprise he did!

Maggie was not willing to help, she was not fond of the noise and very much kept her distance.

She is my princess and right now I'm okay with that!!!

the giving tree...

This tree is beautiful...and all the kids love it (not just mine). This tree is used to climb, as base, as the coat rack, as shade, as a yard sale location...it freely gives to us. This year I think I will trim the tree, just to give back...maybe a big red bow at CHRISTmas!

last weekend was a BLAST!

This past weekend, my Aunt Sue came to visit!  This is the first time she has been to our house and Maggie was so excited to be hostess! She took Aunt Sue on the grand tour and provided colorful details of all the many upgrades that have recently taken place. The first stop was the Scare Crow... this fella was created at Maggie's request...she LOVES him!!!

He is constructed of PVC and stuffed with real "itchy" hay! He is a lot of fun to have around and will be a constant in our front yard, hopefully for many Halloween's to come...

Here is Aunt Sue with both James and Maggie...we had to round up James (outside=playtime)

On Saturday, following a yummy breakfast at a local diner, we ventured to the park for some fun in the sun.  This is a playground at one of our local FD and we played for a couple of hours all to our self.  Three slides and lots of things to climb...and this cool kid has no fear!

Pumpkins...

We visited a pumpkin patch hosted by a local church.  We always get great pumpkins and the money helps fund mission trips for the youth.  I love a great cause!  So, we spent just short of an hour at the pumpkin patch; looking at the pumpkins, hugging the pumpkins, picking them up and putting them down somewhere else, and of course taking our pictures.  We finally decided on four pumpkins...a big one, a medium one and then James and Maggie each picked out the one they wanted...here are some pictures from the adventure.

We went to vist Nanny & Paw Paw in the "land before time". James and Maggie can run and play...pick up rocks and acorns...and when it is time to leave, they are both sleeping before we hit the highway!
