Our buddy, Cooper, came over to swim. We had the best time...Coop is an AWESOME jumper!

He must have jumped in the pool a million times; don't worry we definitely took notes!

Still counting down the days until our second birthday.  The invitations are mailed, the "two" shirts are being made, the cakes are ordered, the pool is ready...just a few more things to do and we should be ready for the big day.

Daniel 1:5

The king assigned them a daily amount of food and wine from the king's table.

They were to be trained for three years, and after that they were to enter the king's service

I have been thinking about this 2nd birthday for what seems like a year or more!  Last year we did a time capsule (which I did not blog about...since, I cannot find it in the archives) for them to open on their 18th birthday.  Wow, in 2026 we will open their time capsules and see what all happened in the past-cool huh! However, this year had to be different and it had to have PURPOSE! 


Maggie and James love to "help kids"...we've done 2 Bowl-a-Thon's, donated to relief, we've seen the Flamingo's, and we love to help our friends- try the Lemonade, it's great!  I want to raise some God-fearing, cannot-help-other-people-enough kind of kids!  That prompted the search for a needy Library! After several dead ends...I just called a local Library and asked, "do you take donations and if so, what do I need to do?" Needless to say, the Library is super excited! Now, I just had to come up with a creative insert for the invitation, so with help, I created this poem to offer a suggestion for people coming to the party.

Here’s a suggestion for an “in lieu”

We love to read, because it’s super fun

Help us donate some books, maybe even a TON!

If you want to help, here’s what you do-

Come to our party, bring a kids book-maybe two.

The books can be new or gently read-

Clean out the closet & look under the BED!!

Please help us with this, as some kids are in need

This would be such an awesome deed,

Their library filled from bottom to top-

Maybe this fun will never STOP!!!

Big or Small…... yellow maybe blue,

They can be about dogs, planes, or the zoo

For giving to others is just a small part-

When you give of yourself…you give from the HEART!!!!

Romans 1:8

We are officially counting down the days to Maggie & James' 2nd Birthday!  We are so blessed to have them in our lives...and we, in turn, do our best to bless them by living Godly lives. Most days they teach us, but that too is how we learn...out of the mouths of babes.


I hope to share with you a verse and pictures from each day...and the verse should correspond with the number of days left until they trun 2. Today's verse is:

First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being reported all over the world. Romans 1:8
